Stuart Foster has been Managing Director of Meg Wire Ltd, a distributor of electronic wires, cables and accessories, for 11 years. Prior to that, he fulfilled a number of senior sales and marketing roles with Sumitomo Electric Industries and Permanoid Ltd. Although Business Development has been one of his key roles, he has considerable experience of Financial, HR, Purchasing and General Management roles. Stuart graduated from the University of Sheffield, with a BA (Hons) in Geography.
Stuart has been a school governor for over 12 years at Gatley Primary, with 10 of those years having served as Chair of Governors.
Stuart is a newly appointed National Leader of Governance (NLG), which will strengthen his ability to provide governance to groups of schools. He sits on the Online Safety sub-committee of the Stockport Safeguarding board and on the Schools Organization and Education Capital Advisory Group. He has also spent 3 years on Schools Forum.
Stuart is currently Chair of the Stockport Governors Association, GOVAS.
