System Leaders

Gatley Primary has been supporting other schools in various forms over a number of years. Within the school-to-school support offered by Gatley Teaching School we have National Leaders in Education (NLE), Local Leaders in Education (LLE) and Subject Leaders in Education (SLE) who focus on developing leadership capacity.

All of our system leaders are actively engaged in school improvement projects commissioned by stakeholders including Stockport LA.  System leaders are available directly for deployment through Gatley Teaching School and Empower Schools Alliance.

National Leaders in Education (NLE) / Local Leaders in Education (LLE). Within our Teaching School Alliance our NLEs and LLEs include:

  • Michelle Murray (Gatley Academy), NLE
  • Jo Appleyard (Elmridge Academy), NLE as a strategic partner, Jo has worked jointly on work commissioned across both teaching schools, including school to school work.
  • Janine Appleton (Meadowbank Primary), LLE Member of Empower TSA

SLE Deployment

SLEs are able to support a range of CPD for both aspiring teachers and current practitioners. This can be evidenced in INSET, leadership programme delivery, school direct and school networks. The links below are examples of this work:
