Lisa Dennis - Co-opted Governor
I have spent my professional life working for large global companies in the private sector across a number of disciplines covering Finance, Project Management and HR, but my passion - and the area that gives me the most satisfaction - is supporting people through their own personal development journey, regardless of what that looks like.
I've had a variety of volunteer roles over the years (and would encourage others to do the same!), from running a chapter of a mental health charity to doing mock interviews for GCSE students in schools.
Being a Governor felt like an opportunity to support development in different ways within the community, and also to develop myself in areas that I hadn't previously considered. I've learnt so much already, and I continue to learn every time I visit the school and talk to the children and staff.
