The Great Debate

As a school, we are working towards our Silver Award for Rights Respecting Schools. 

All of the children have been learning about different articles which form the UNRC (United Nations Rights of the Child). During our spring term, children from our different councils selected one of these articles and prepared a powerful case as to why they felt their chosen article was the most important. Our panel of Governors and Trust staff offered feedback to each team and commented on how well the children spoke and how much research and thought had gone into the presentations.

After much deliberation, the children who had watched the debate cast their votes and it was our Eco Council who were voted as the team with the most important article: Article 24 Health and Health Services.
